Fresh Silky Almond Milk

Fresh Silky Almond Milk

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cups fresh raw almonds
  • 3 cups of 9.5 Alkaline water

PREPARATION

Use a Nut Milk Bag (for straining)

Soak the fresh raw almonds in water for one hour and Drain. Place the almonds in a blender until is a third full (about 2 cups). Then add alkaline water to fill the blender. Blend on high speed until you have a white, creamy-looking milk. Take a nut milk bag and pour the mixture through over a bowl or pan, then let it drain. Squeeze with your hand to get the last of the milk through the nylon bag, return the dried pulp to the blender and add more 2 more cups of water for 2 minutes and squeeze more milk. (The solids you strain out can be used in the shower as a body scrub.) Or use as a base for dehydrated crackers.

You can also use it in soups, shakes, or puddings.

Almond milk will stay fresh in tight seal container for about 3 days in the refrigerator
